Google and Meta
Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel libraries load before you make a consent choice. Loading sends Google and Meta a technical request, including your IP address, browser information and site address. This does not start page-view or click measurement: GA4 analytics event forwarding is blocked, and Meta runs with consent revoked. Google advertising consents remain denied.
Analytics starts only with your consent. Google Analytics 4 through GTM helps assess traffic, referral sources, language versions and contact methods. After separate advertising consent, Meta Pixel sends page views to measure advertising and build advertising audiences. Meta automatic event collection and advanced matching are disabled.
Events do not include message text, visitor names, phone numbers or email addresses. GA4 URLs are stripped of arbitrary parameters; safe UTM values are retained. Clicks before consent are not sent later.
Google Ireland Limited processes analytics data; Meta Platforms Ireland Limited receives pixel data and may link it to its platform data. Processing outside the EEA may take place under these services’ terms. Analytics and advertising are based on consent.
Service terms: Google; Google Data Processing Terms; Meta Privacy Policy; Meta Cookies Policy.
Your choice
Analytics and advertising tracking are off on your first visit. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are equally available. “Customise” lets you choose each category separately. Your choice, date and version, including rejection, are stored in your browser for 180 days. Material changes to trackers or purposes require fresh consent. Contact options work with any choice.
Open settings or withdraw consent in the footer. Withdrawal stops event forwarding, removes GA4 and Meta cookies accessible to this site and reloads the page. It applies to future processing; contact WPM about previously transmitted data.
Cookies and retention
Your choice is kept in localStorage (wpm-consent-v3). After consent, GA4 may use _ga and _ga_<identifier> for visitors and sessions — normally up to 2 years. Meta may use _fbp and _fbc for browsers and advertising referrals — normally 90 days. Settings and browser restrictions may shorten these periods.
GA4 data retention depends on its property setting: 2 or 14 months; WPM’s actual setting is not confirmed here. Aggregated reports have separate rules. Meta data retention follows its policy rather than the cookie expiry.
